Dr. James Buxbaum received his undergraduate education at Middlebury College, where he graduated with honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston University, and then pursued his medical education at The George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his Residency training at The George Washington University Hospital, and was Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine throughout his time in clinical practice. He now remains board certified in Internal Medicine. He has practiced full time Emergency Medicine in the Washington, D.C. area since 1987. He currently holds a faculty position at The George Washington University School of Medicine and is focusing his attention on Healthcare Navigators and its consultative services.
